Innovations in Agricultural Education for Rural Local Communities

The Virginia Agricultural Education Centers of Innovation are working with seven rural communities in Virginia to develop innovative programs for workforce development.

Agricultural Education teachers with innovative ideas to increase the training of the local agriculture workforce are designing programs that emphasize career-ready training and a high-quality learning experience for middle and high school students in agricultural education courses.

The Centers of Innovation teachers are sharing some of their innovative lesson ideas here for others to use, adapt and share.

Lessons from each of the 8 Pathway Clusters in Agricultural Education are being collected as the Center of Innovation programs get underway.
